Moonstone Necklaces - Now with oxidized sterling silver chains!
I always go back to moonstone, there is just something so magical and other worldly about the stone. The gorgeous blue-purple iridescence that radiates through the white opaque stone, each one is truly one of a kind which makes them oh so special.
I designed these moonstone necklaces to be fairly simple, I was looking to design a minimal necklace that really highlighted the beauty of moonstone. Each one features a one of a kind brilliant cut moonstone, the facets adding a sparkle like element to this already magical stone. Each moonstone is carefully set in a lightly textured setting with dainty claw prongs, adding an earthy edginess to the mystic stone. The moonstone pendant is then strung on a dainty rope chain.
I originally offered these moonstone necklaces in solid gold and sterling silver with their matching gold or silver chains but I am so excited to expand this design with oxidized sterling silver chains as well! Oxidized sterling silver is just simply darkened sterling silver, it's something I do in my studio to make the chains black. I've always loved darkened silver, it has a very edgy, moody vibe. I always feel extra fierce when wearing oxidized silver, pair it with a bold lip and you've definitely got a look!
With the oxidized moonstone necklace, the moonstone pendant will remain with a bright finish, whether you choose a 14k gold pendant or a sterling silver pendant, only the chain will get the darkened finish. The clasp will also match the pendant! So if you choose gold, the clasp will match the pendant and same with silver.
